Evolution Car Wash (St Kilda, VIC)

Evolution Car Wash in St Kilda, VIC is a local car wash with both automatic and self-serve bays.

It sits at about 2.9 on Google, so opinions vary and the vibe isn’t uniformly great or terrible. It’s open 24 hours, so you can swing by late or early if you’re a night owl, no worries.

There are automatic wash options and self-serve bays, with staff on hand to help if a machine acts up or you’re unsure what to press. You can park and let the machine do the work, or do it yourself and ask for a quick tutorial if needed. Payment works with coins, cash, a change machine, and most cards, though some folks report overcharging issues from time to time.

You’ll find vacuums, a dog wash machine, and even a carpet/inside self-car carpet wash facility. Prices get a bit of grief from customers, with automatic washes sometimes seen around $15–$23 and a 2-minute vacuum costing about $2, which isn’t always seen as good value. If the cars line up, space to wait can be a bit tight, so bring patience and a bit of time.
