About
Car Spa, Devonport, TAS, is a local car wash with a practical, no-frills vibe.
Google gives it about a 3.3 rating, so it feels like a fair, value-focused option rather than a luxury spa for your ride.
You can use the drive through auto wash or head to the self wash bays if you want to DIY. There’s also a dog wash bay and an underbody wash option, though that undercarriage feature isn’t always reliable. There’s no hand-wash service advertised, so you park and let the machines do the work or you tidy up yourself.
Payment is coin operated with a change machine, plus cashless options for credit or debit cards.
The self vacuum is strong, and the dog wash gets mixed reviews – some folks love it, others have had issues.
Pricing earns mixed opinions too; some say it’s well priced, others call it pricey. Expect around $20 for a car wash and $5–$10 for the dog wash.
Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Automatic Features
Description: This car wash features an automatic drive‑through (drive‑through auto wash) and multiple wash bays, plus self‑service vacuum stations. Tokens are used for the automated wash machines, and while the drive‑through wash can be out of service at times, the other bays still provide a solid cleaning.
Self Service Features
Self-service coin-operated wash bays are available, with multiple self-wash bays (including bay 3 that has a manual high-pressure hose). The hand-held air dryers in the self-wash bays have been removed, and there are occasional maintenance issues such as a blocked drain in bay 3.
Pricing Overview

Will never use this place again the self serve car wash didn’t work peoperly. No water cam out or soap for the tyre wash. The rest of the cleaning tools don’t work properly, no pressure at all. I tried to stop it taking my money and it would t. Rang to ask for help and was mansplained and they refused to give a refund saying we can’t do that we are only the call centre. Oh and Ulverstone car spa you can’t use the self servr as you can’t get coins out pay for worst car washing self serve I have ever been.
