Xstream Carwash (Eltham, VIC)

Xstream Carwash (Eltham, VIC) is a local car wash you can swing by on the main drag. Google rates it about 3.8, so it’s a decent, no-fuss option that won’t break the bank.

There’s an automatic laser wash and a drive-through setup, plus a few bays to choose from. It isn’t officially staffed for hand washing, but the owner/manager is often around to keep things running smoothly.

If you like a DIY scrub, there are self-serve bays, though a few reviews mention quirks with soap or the foam brush. Vacuums are available too, with coin slots and a money exchange machine that’s had the odd hiccup. You can pay by card, and cash is accepted as well.

They’ve got a dog wash facility on site, which is handy if your mate has mud on the fur. Pricing is a mixed bag – some say well priced, others think it’s a bit pricey. Typical notes include about $1 for 90 seconds in a manual bay, around $12 for a wash and vacs, and premium automatic washes in the $18–$20 range.

Hours are Tue–Sat 8am–10pm, Sun 9am–8pm, and Mon 8am–10pm. If you’re after a straightforward wash with options, it’s worth a look.
